Such a Pretty Thought
What if I could be with you, thigh againstThigh, on the ferry to Vancouver Island
One day? What if we could get lost
Among tall rhododendrons on our way
To the orcas which pass by at times
Close to Campbell River or some other
Beach? What if you said you'd stay
With me after we'd had our adventure,
But, actually, ours didn't end, and I held
You, and life was unspeakably lovely?
Wouldn't that be something worth
Contemplating? I'm fairly sure
That it is.
