Those Libertarians

Oh, God. The libertarians are here.
They're going on and on about
The state, about coercion. Gee,
If only people could be free to
Pursue their own ends, the world
Would be a better place, and trade
Would flourish. Wars would end.
Of course, if all of us were white
And affluent, and disinclined
To work the refs and bend the rules,
And exploit those who aren't like
Us, such thoughts might turn out
To be right, but, in the world we
Occupy, the bully wins. The rich
Man has his way, and others have
To learn that odds are stacked
Against their ends, and only if
They seize the state, and turn it
Against those who whisper lies
To libertarians, will they advance
To better places, flourishing
As those dupes said they should.
