Inward Look

The Stream

Meandering the earth
without anywhere to rest,
the stream of man
has learnt to survive

it has to freeze down
to be ice
for a short stop-over,
with certainty of belief

that the sun of being
will steam awake
him at the dawn
of a new life.

The gentle nature of Eastern thought, which your poem seems to reflect, contrasts well (positively, humanely) against the harsh judgmental tenets of Western thought (such as it is).
