THE ETERNAL SEA by Ann Wood

THE ETERNAL SEA

The sea never gets old
our beaches, our rocks ..
Doomed to unforgettable,
even within miles of the eyes.

Rapans and mussels, shore
and the horizon so far.
When the moment is long
Even the impulse is heartbreaking.

And the gulls roaring gently,
and the noise intoxicating the waves.
The sadness that sails away-
and dreams come back.
