Going through the artist's process of creating a true masterpiece.

Twilight Sky

A mouse
scampers across
the
evening twilight sky.
A robin
calls out to
the
evening twilight sky.
A breeze
whispers a message
that only
you can hear
as you ponder by
the
evening twilight sky.
The trees
dance in rhythm
to the whisper
of the breeze by
the evening twilight sky.
And you
snap a photo of
the
evening twilight sky.
You
take the photo
to your art workshop.
Out come
the pencils,
erasers,
oil pastels,
and paints.
Sitting
beside you is
the photo of
the
evening twilight sky.
You make
a rough sketch
of
the
evening twilight sky.
Soon...
that rough sketch
becomes
a perfect sketch
of
the
evening twilight sky.
Then,
you bring color
to the sketch
using
colored pencils,
just to
color the sketch
in with.
You outline
all the
lines
carefully...
carefully...
with oil pastels.
And to make it
an actual painting,
you paint
right over everything
in the same colors.
You scratch a
signature
in the small,
righthand,
bottom corner.
Now...
it is hanging
in your hall
of art.
It is
called...
"Twilight Sky"
