After the Missionaries Have Gone
Yeah, I'd like the snow to go away,Like the couple who left their footprints
Here. Let the cold take the path
Of their stupid religion. Grace isn't
Real. Dignity's phony. Humans are
Animals, mean and dumb. They grub
For their sustenance, fouling the land.
Let their apologists bother my neighbors.
I won't be revising my cynical views.
Instead, I'll be watching, impatiently
Waiting, to see the snow leave, and feel
The sun strengthen, warming this
Brute's unsaved hide.
