I HAD A BOAT - NOW A SHIP

I had a boat
That proved
To be to small
For the crew
And me
I had to find
An appropriate
Sea conveyance
For I found was needed
A ship of a good size suited
For that &CO

Larger you see
The crew were becoming
Well troublesome
Dammed right mutinous!
Needing a few strokes of the cat nine tails?
As yet unblooded!
I know of that you understand I wager!

Long may that be so!

The ship did nicely
The boat tagged behind
Handy in put drunken sailors
And mutinous sea dogs an nall
Maybe some needing to be stroked by the cat of nine?
Being in the boat astern - out of site out of mind!

Transferring to the ship
Just what were needed!

We set sail on
The briny sea
All now plain sailing!
What could passably go wrong?!
