Phil
Somehow, simultaneously obsequiousAnd slightly insulting, he's the house guest
I'd like to see leave, but nobody seems
To know when he will. He's stuck here,
Supposedly briefly, awaiting a visa
And clearance to teach the Chinese
To speak English, but our nation's not
On good terms now with theirs. He may
Have to wait a long time, and, should
He be required to visit a consulate, he will
Be doomed if the woman or man who
Is wielding the stamp finds him half so
Obnoxious as I.
