Memories
Still there, they're bleached, like lifeless coral.I cannot recall the way I felt when I developed
Them, these images of things I did, of places
I went, people who I knew. I paddle over them,
And view them through a sea of decades, shrug,
And turn toward the shore, a bar, the present,
Too numb now to see a point in lingering
For long.
