A Windy Fall Day

It's probably best that you couldn't visit
Today. The wind has been fierce, yet,
Oddly, it's soothing. Too strong to allow
Me to do any work, yet warm, it forced
Me to sit in a chair in the sun and do
Nothing, to stare at the ground and doze
Off for a while. I had a nice time,
The nicest in ages, and I would have
Liked to have you here to share it,
But I suspect you'd have been bored.
