Perhaps You Should Temper Your Feelings of Superiority

You laugh at them, and you should.
They're clods. Their tales of cabals
Of child molesters and communists
Seem so completely absurd. Then
Again, your beliefs make no more
Sense than theirs. Could the universe
Really have come into being from
Nothing, at once, with a causeless
Bang? Does NATO truly protect us
From Russia, a nation which never,
In all of its history, set out to conquer
The West? Clods remain clods, but
No “truths” can be proven, and our
Assumptions, closely examined,
Aren't better supported than theirs.
