Prometheus

As it was in Tiananmen, and then in Bangkok,
Then in Hong Kong, then in Minsk, it is
In bloody Yangon. Do not hope for change,
Not peaceful change. It never happens.
Drop your placards. Tend the wounded.
Go back home and read the slogans
Crawling on your TV screen. The words
And speakers sometimes vary, but the
Message stays the same: you are wrong
And unimportant; might defines what's right.
