Nothing Else So Demonstrates the Utter Stupidity of Americans
Let us resolve to not see what's in frontOf our eyes: upwards of 400 million guns,
And, though hack politicians promise
To check on the backgrounds of buyers,
And crack down on bad guys, we mostly
Aren't murdered by hard-hearted criminals.
Hot-headed relatives often will kill us,
Or we'll kill ourselves. We can't stop being
Human. We could, if we wanted (they did
In Australia), let ourselves, our friends
And our relatives, rooms full of strangers
Who simply had planned to persist, keep
Their lives by destroying the guns in our
Midst, but we won't. We so love them,
We'll fight to our deaths to deny what's
In front of our eyes.
