My Concerns are Aesthetic, not Moral
I want the grass to be green, okay? There is no moral aspect to that.
Likewise, I want to see poor people
Cared for, their plates filled with food,
Their injuries dealt with. I'd like to see
People who aren't white or Christian,
Or male get their due, and the slack-
Jawed, the spittle-faced, bigots
Inside of their pot-metal shitholes,
Declared to be churches, erased from
My sight, along with the real estate
Magnates and financial fiddlers,
Whose odious minions move,
Tide-like, through state legislatures.
I want not to have to see country-club
Judges, violent law officers, murderous
Drones. I'd like to gaze out and see
Grace and equality. There's nothing
Moral in that.
