Is Your Crystal Ball Nearby?

Look at it this way, Sullivan:
The feudal system, through
Which those with land exploited
Those without, persisted for six
Centuries. It only fell when
Capital became more valuable
Than land. How long will
The system which is named
For it survive?, I wonder. At
This point, two centuries,
And there's no sign that it's
Unstable, under threat of any
Kind. In fact, it seems our
World has changed for good,
And, henceforth, those who
Exercise control of capital
Always will rule all of us.
They only will be overthrown
When we have made machines
So smart that they've learned to
Control themselves. That day
Approaches, Sullivan. Your task
Is to envision how we'll be
Exploited then.
