We'll change,” but, just a year later, we've crept
To the polls to say we want more cops and no
Race talk in schools. If we see you at all, we'd
Prefer you in handcuffs. The streets are deserted,
The signs thrown away, and the weight of some
Four hundred years of oppression, which sort-of
Seemed lifting, has come down again. That show
Of contrition we staged was a joke. Don't you
Get it? Why haven't you laughed?
