Toadies

It's clear that you can't understand
The appellation, “underdog.”  Your
Loyalties betray your spinelessness.
You fly the bullies' flags.  By all means,
Put the screws to Russia.  What they
Wanted, to not be surrounded,
Had to be opposed.  Iran, for having
Overthrown the dictator the bullies
Gave it, has to endure strangulation.
Likewise, Cuba, for no reason,
But its noisome independence
From your Yanqui capital,
And Venezuela, suffer likewise.
North Korea must be tortured
For its stupid wish to see a treaty
Signed to end the war which seems
To never end, and, on the streets
Of Palestine, the children rise,
With knives and pistols, to oppose
Our vile wards, who steal their land
And slaughter them, and, on
Our streets, the hopeful gather,
Marching for a host of causes,
Dignity and decent treatment,
Only to be beaten with batons,
And gassed by blue-clad bullies,
Paid for and applauded by you
People who pretend you sympathize
With underdogs.
