we had such a lovely day of it

a week ago   so much so 

that we reprised the day

down to ordering the same food

at the same restaurant

topping it off with the same desserts

such a day   and such a following day

is unlikely to happen again

not with the same flavors

and not with the same mackerel skies

if I put these days into words

it may reinforce the memory

of two almost ordinary days

which   otherwise   would surely be lost
