A sonnet indirectly expressing the Eternal and the Divine...
the eternal divinity in time
and space, the bright morning star that’s always been,
here now is figured in this worshipful rhyme.
The written word, for all men to have and read,
was given to reveal the spirit of truth,
the lamb (whose precious, shed blood as godhead
conquered death): Offspring of David, by Ruth.
Just how to describe the amazing grace,
and how his forgiveness of the world’s sin,
and rebellion, has saved the human race
this soul hardly can know where to begin!
One day, when this poet pulls an overnighter,
He’ll be prepared as a proficient writer.
