The convalescent...

SOON

Soon, I shall walk beneath the trees again
And feel on my eyelids the autumn rain,
Breath cool air, and see the open sky again,
No longer gazing through a window pane.

The joys of simplicity of life,
All my life I've had little craved more,
Yet the cynical me would disagree.
For the joys of simplicity of life,
Is all I should ever need.
Your poem resonates with me extremely well
