Netta Syrett were born in the seaside town of Ramsgate, in 1865.

OPEN LETTER TO NETTA SYRETT (On Going Theime)

Although you passed in 1943
Dear Netta, I and a few
Read your books
As fresh today as were
As they were in your time yesterday
Are as relevant today

You challenge those who would suppress

Womankind - humankind!
Challenge stereotyping gender & periods of times
Stereotyping parenting of the Victorian age!
Now when I read your books
As if you are writing just for me!
You are smiling, with a twinkle in your eye
Just like the portrait I have of you, I have on my wall
You are very much alive to me, dear, Netta!
You have not passed away within each book you wrote
You are very much alive to me!

Another one on your ongoing historical theme. Netta, she was certainly prolific, wasn't she. :)
Blessings, Allen
