The most difficult love issue
Can love remain when passion runs out?
Can love continue when you are out of touch?
Is love still live when you lack response?
Does love have to be physical, and is virtual love an absurdity?
Is love but a passing dream that has to pass away,
making consistency impossible and forbidding it?
You may brood over these problem until you die
and never reach the slightest glimpse of any answer.
The mystery remains and cannot be resolved.
The only thing that you can do about it
is to go on loving, to persist in keeping up your dreams,
to put a blind eye to delusions, disappointments and regrets
and to stay on and go on loving
as an incurable and doting fool,
as if love was but a hopeless illness
that you simply cannot do without.
