Mea Culpa
Perhaps it's the absence of proximate substance which leads
Me to brood on the dismal states of distant lands and people
In them subjected to tyranny. Life is, in fact, quite pleasant
Here, but lacking. I have no religion. Thus, no greater power
Leads me. I detest my government. If it should call, I would
Not serve. I have no trade, not even hobbies, to which I'd
Devote myself at times when I'm not idly waiting for such
Streams of words as these to come, and idly waiting, as you
Know, can lead the one who's doing it to brood.
