i was dreaming
of you all the while
and the moment
i laid my eyes
on you was the best
i had in many days

It was this moment
of our rendezvous
that had kept me going
through the ruggedness
of the week zoomed past

for in this moment
only you matter
my pegasus
and the promise
you hold for me.
