Her Fair-Skinned Form Is Not What I Desire

Her fair-skinned form is not what I desire.
Because my skin is dark, and hers is light,
my passion burns like a flame not so bright:
snow-like complexion ne'er warms like auburn-fire.

Though bred as opposites opposed: one higher,
the other below where I, a dark knight,
you, like a shooting star that brightens the night,
together are a can of worms I don't admire.

The world we know won't permit us together.
You come from privilege, money, and ease;
and, when it pleases you, you have a taste for leather.
But I loathe your society's disease,
depravity, intolerance, waste, leisure,
and fallen nature's Mephistopheles!
