Uncaught by thought

This has a serene, open quality that suits the Huang Po epigraph. The falling house of cards is a nice image for the collapse of overthinking, and the short lines create a sense of breath and pause. The final sequence from stillness to love dancing is lovely and simple. The poem does feel more like a series of affirmations than a piece with tension. It stays in the same calm register throughout, so the reader is soothed but not surprised. Still, the clarity it is reaching for is clearly sincere.
