my sister got married last year, and the bridesmaids' dresses were a maroon colour, coincidentally my mum had just bought a couch of pretty much the same colour, so when photos were taken i blended in pretty well

Camouflage

You had to buy that sofa,
You said,
As if you were the only one.

Knowing Alli and I will match in,
Ruining perfectly good pre shots,
The room strategised for nothing.

Too much stuffing, puffing
out like a bee stung allergic
Folding like sheets unpressed.

Mushroom behind,
Pleated and nonchalant
Clashing and conforming at once.

I'm cynical, you say,
But as I sit back into the protrusion,
Solid on the rear
With my ball of fur beside,
Candles ahead, something Shelley contrived,
I think

And I watch the horses run,
Carved into the closed shut chest
Which will never be mine

For I am merely camouflage

haha, i like the story. it kind of makes me laugh. =)

but seriously, the idea of camouflage is so great, because especially in our modern day society, individualism and being "different" is so frowned upon...

great job.
