Why can't I stand still
to see what I have accomplished
Put a smile upon my face
the past is the past, erase
Because I shine
after all that has been, I feel fine
In optimism and positivity
I know my ability
I glow for me, for you
even if it's not always true
The demands Im unaware of
still whispers in my ear
of what I haven't done this year
for every mistake I make
for every wrong turn I take
And in my thoughts of grief
it's hard to reach relief
because of the anguish
that makes the demands
that I try to carry with my hands
and then comes the questions
that goes in my head
why isn't it answers instead
So I put a smile upon my face
the future is the future, embrace
And as I try hard to understand
my plans that has to be planned
and when success is far away
the guilt comes to me, to stay
that is when the demands hits me
and as I fall down on my knee
I close my eyes to visualise
reaching to be free
