This is How we Live
This is how we live as the woman we are here now, reallyThis is how we dream, the woman that we could be, maybe
This woman inside our heads hidden way back
This woman buried in our hearts deep, deep down
This woman that we sense every now and then
The one that creeps up on us in moments of daydream
Of inhibited ness
The woman that is exotic and daring beyond our current reality
The one who moves like a cat, daring and shady
The woman who has no ties no history
The one who can turn heads but then disappears
The one that is strong
Stronger than we are really
The woman that speaks and speaks so clearly
That person who moves so swiftly through life
The one who can fight
Who will be heard
Who only acts
And does not worry
She faces forward and doesn't look back
And when she grows old she doesn't care if it is gracefully
She is the one who can cry or yell
And does not lose herself in front of hell
She is the girl, the woman, within
She is the one
The one who lives
Behind our eyes and sometimes in our voice
She leads our imaginations
And will give us grace
She sometimes stands on the ground ,
we think shakes
She is the one we turn to
When we must race the race
This is how we live
two people in one
The one that is hiding and the one just begun
We keep her a secret and keep her hid well
What would they say if they knew she did dwell
We watch her in our minds
and in our dreams
She fights, she yells ,she kicks and she screams
Then we wake up and reality slips into it's seams
We get out of bed as the day begins
Coffee, breakfast, dishes, kids
The woman we really are
And the woman within
