A project that I will work on about the ten commandments. What they mean then, and today. Not in order, but right to the point.

Theft

Hubcaps, they took two hubcaps,
I bought new ones,
Then they stole one more,
Wait 'til I get rims,

When a crime is commited on you,
A sea of emotions crash upon you,
Like a frustrated high tide,
And with that, I started, you guess,
Thinking,

The seventh rule,
In the beginning,
People took everything and anything they wanted,
Similar to today, even with rules and regulations attached,
But this was the first attempt to say something about it,
Theft is based on two feelings,
Desperation and Jealousy,
The two very things that are why it is a "shall not",

Desperation, then as it is now as accpetance,
And in some cases, as survival,
"Everybody's doing it, why can't I?" frame of mind,
What we fail to realize is with this idea, comes a price,
Self-respect for everyone around you, and then last, yourself,
Why you last?,
Because you were last person you thought about when you did it,
Survival, is the thin line,
Between wrong and maybe, never right,
Many and all who acted under this pretense,
If they could do it again, they would, hopefully,
But remember, survival is not only a "animal instinct",
But God's guidance as well,

The basis of jealousy,
As well as everything else in this piece,
It entitled by these verses by Matisyahu,
"King without a crown",

"If you try to stay high,
You are bound to stay low,
You want God,
But you couldn't deflate your ego,"

It goes without saying,
It is such as useless feeling,
But unfortunately, it's natural,
But fortunately, maturity and wisdom,
Is the greatest medicine for it,
Because you learn something with time and experience,
Appreciation, of who you are,
What you can do, and what can offer to the world,
Some people still cannot grasp this concept,
Or in some cases, seem to forget,
Mistaking their needs with their wants,
And you don't need to look far to see that,

Envy is a trick,
Always thriving through every other emotion,
Because it's always planning,
To leave its parasitic state,
Into a more dominating role,
It is just our job to control it,

So before you take,
Realize this from a former student of the profession,
Sooner or later,
You gonna get caught,
And you don't have the price,
To foot the bill,
Nor the toughness,
To consume all of the shame,

The dancer moves without a trace,
