Putting words in my mouth

I chew them
they're undeniably
unchewable

they're soft and tender
they never break
impossible to engulf

enzymes of my soul
these words they are,
so believable

Do you know of what I speak,
have you ever tasted a word,
rolled it around on your tongue

toyed with it in your mouth
Mmm, exquisite!

Held the syllables in the palm of your hand
counted them one by one,
One, two, three maybe four

then put them in your mouth
to start your word-tasting experience
It is an experience you'll never forget

The words bring colour to you from inside
Through your blood-vessels they travel fast,
Until they at last reach your heart
Where they start to pump

What are their meanings,
what is their purpose,
To bring joy, love and happiness,
Or misery, sadness and hate?

I dunno, it's up to you,
and to how your body breaks them down...

I really enjoyed this. I love words too. This poem had me thinking of them like M&Ms. Each so colorful and delicious.
