For my friend Stephanie, Her grandmother passed away.
They're there for you; an ever lasting sage
When word hits home that they've passed away
It's the worst news of your perfect day
Thoughts then arise of time not spent
She was finally gone, where had time went
Days later she was put to rest
Roses for love was my only request
Everyone wore black and I did too
As the service went on, my emotions grew
She's in a better place, filled with love and devotion
That is deeper than any ocean
Even though she is no longer here
Her memory will always fill me with cheer
On that faithful day my heart stood still
As for knowing she's loved, I always will
