Death, or something like it...

Why is life so hard?
Why did I lose you?
Why am I cursed to wander this earth without you?

I can not help but see you
I see you in everyone
I see you driving past me,
but it's never you,
it never will be...

Death has taken you,
thrown a black shadow over your
beautiful body,
taken you from this world...

Your pain is gone,
your sadness only a memory
all your nightmares has faded into the night,
once your life was filled with darkness,
now there is only light left

How can you be gone?
How can I accept it?
Will I ever believe that
you are truly gone?
Are you watching me from above?

Will you wait for me?
Please stand at those golden gates,
don't let me find you have left me
Stand guard day and night,
wait for me...

We were more than friends,
you were my soul,
my other half...
Now I'll never be whole...

Before this day is over,
I'll be with you
never to leave your side again
we'll fulfill one another once again,
forever more...

But, if I find that you've gone the other way
I'll have to follow,
I won't be able to live without you,
not now,
nor ever...

Life is only a game,
now you're here,
tomorrow you're gone

Wait for me,
I won't be long,
Stand guard,
protect me from harm
watch over me
until we're together again....
