something I did once for valentine's day

Passion

When the stars seem to bless us
And every step forward with you
is as the brush of time easing years of worries
When i look at you
And the flames of adoration are kindled
To the ignition of passion
Then, you must know, my knees are weak
And in your face I see the lingering shadows of my soul banished
When your every word is as a balm
Soothing as sea breezes to my mind
When your touch on my face
Feels like cherry blossoms spinning against my heart
Joyful tears of heaven washing my sins away
Teasing my emotions before driting away
Only to land anew, flighty silvery birds loking for a home
Are your fingers lightly brushing my lips
When your gaze holds me like a siren song
But not to destruction do I follow
The dew-like words from your honeyed lips
But rather to salvation
To the place where our love
Makes the sun seem little better
Than a flickering candle held before a prideful star
And for your sake I would uproot mountains
Merely to bring you the tiny blossoms on the peaks
Endure flames and the agonies of ice
Merely to hear your voice
Spiral into my existence and fuel my heart
For an eternity of famine would I suffer
To see you in your white dress
Like a flower in the sun walking to me
This is when i feel this passion that I have felt for so long
That keeps me here
waiting for your kiss
To have my heart glisten with happiness
A throbbing ruby
in your delicate hands.
