I hope one day child abuse will end but I doubt it ever will but maybe there is a glimmer of hope when more people speak out. I know that the parents dying was kind of morbid but hey this was about the child's welfare.


Death Prayer~

A little girl who will soon be age six
If she makes it that far
But she's caught up in a hell of a mix
And tried to run in front of a car.

She thinks anything would be better
Then what she comes home to everyday
Yesterday she wrote Dear God a letter
To pretty please take her far away.

She puts up with her daddy who touches
And her mommy who hits her a lot
Her Daddy has her in his clutches
And she knows he won't get caught.

She prays so hard every night
For God to take her away
She wants to see the pretty light
From here she wants to stray.

One night in the midst of madness
Her father shot her mom
When he was arrested there was no sadness
For once the girl felt calm.

Now in a new house with a new mom and dad
And a big sister to always play
The little girl will always be glad
That her prayers were not answered that day.
