Natural Disasters

A big wind a hurricane is
Tornadoes, are winds with twirl
Both winds can be disastrous
As they frightfully unfurl

Earthquakes are never laughing matters
They're nothing close to cheerful
When our planet they smash and shatter
The populace is fearful

Very heavy rain
Can over-flow a city
Causing flooding pain
With drenching not too pretty

Nothing on earth is more smiting
Than volcanoes spilling lava
Awesome beauty so exciting
Mother nature staging drama

Our need for moisture is endless
So droughts we always fear
They're much too dry and friendless
Too terribly austere

With our knee-jerk kind of impulse
To nature's fearful clout
We tend to try to repulse
Nature's way of making out
