In 40 countries women are still sexually mutilated. Homosexuality is still a disease and illegal in parts of the world. We do not talk about our sexual feelings and if we do we shall be ashamed.

WE NEED A SEXUAL REVOLUTION!!!

SEXUAL REVOLUTION

SEXUAL REVOLUTION

Can't you see,
we need a sexual revolution!
To set our prejudiced minds in motion.

A young girl in love hides in shame.
She's brought shame upon her name.
But she can't see what she did wrong.
It's the values of her family, rigid and strong.

Through fifty years he's fought so bad,
to get rid of the cravings he's had.
A male body to touch and caress.
Illegal actions are easy to repress.

Can't you see,
we need a sexual revolution!
To set our prejudiced minds in motion.

In parts of the world circumcision is procedure.
Sexual mutilation to rob us of our treasure.
Women must be held in leashes.
All but when she The Men pleases.

A woman wants her lovers golden wet.
But she hasn't had the guts to ask him yet.
Do not talk about your sexual needs.
You have no idea where it leads.

Can't you see,
we need a sexual revolution!
To set our prejudiced minds in motion.

So what's your thing? What turns you on?
What makes you scream and moan?
Sexuality is pleasure, relief from pain.
A God-given gift to keep us sane.

What's wrong with pleasures
if all involved enjoy the measures.
Who are you to judge and decide?
We need a revolution worldwide!

I do so agree with you Daybreaker. Sex is our medicinal god given right and it is there and free in abundance, but we have to love each other and ourselves to receive it. Too many make love and sex and orientation too much of a taboo. They can't tax it you see? Just like free thought. Smiling at you, Tai

F.i.in.e Moods The PoetBay support member heart!
it is difficult to understand these mentalities eh... i agree that what makes a person feel well-being and comfort is no one's place to decide for them what works best or how that closeness should be shared... valid points you bring up here... hopefully someday we'll be able to concentrate on the real issues in the human condition instead of this... i enjoy your writing, i find the non-rhyming refrain in juxtaposition with the rest that are rhyming stanzas in this poem adds emphasis on that feeling to just want to break out from these ridiculous practices and mentalities... a very good text, thanks for sharing :f xx
