"Springwatch" is a TV programme which we enjoy for 3 weeks every Spring. I am an addict. With the help of hidden cameras and web-cams, we follow the lives of all sorts of creatures...

Springwatch

The BBC, of world renown,
every Spring they go to town,
and bring us stories of birds and bees,
(O can't you make it longer please.)

Gorgeous Simon, lovely Kate,
on our screens each night at 8.
Bill provides a laugh and titter,
(but now and again he tends to witter.)

Simon up somewhere quite remote,
his programmes always get my vote.
Kate always smiling, alert and trim,
(sometimes I think she's a bit too thin.)

Buchanan makes film of urban foxes,
Bill and Kate have owls in boxes;
swallows nesting snug in the barn,
(I'd love to visit Fishleigh Farm.)

Kate's obsessed with a bucket of Jays,
several visits each day she pays.
to these little birds who have no mums -
Kate makes sure they've all full tums.

Bill loves birds and wildlife too.
He always tells us something new.
His knowledge thrills us all to bits,
but alas! This year he has no tits!

Wrens and robins on the nest,
these are things "Springwatch" does best.
I'm glued each night to the TV screen,
and can't believe the things I've seen.

Fledglings only want to fledge,
hedgehogs only want to hedge.
Ducklings only want to duckle,
all these creatures make us chuckle.

Bill and Kate, and Simon too,
I'll finish now, you've work to do.
The work in which you all take part,
I thank you for, with all my heart.
