When at first I met you, I didn’t know what to do

Yet you stayed faithful by my side when trouble did ensue

When you were hurt I was there to heal the pain you felt

Unknown to me was the horrible hand of cards you were dealt

As time slowly passed our relationship started to grow

This interaction meant more to me then you would ever know

I always cared for you even if didn’t care for me

I hoped in time this locked feeling would set you free

In the end the curse was broken and your form was right and true

I couldn’t believe the change in emotion that would ensue

When you broke the portal that held ties between our lands

I was broken to see that you could no longer hold my hand

You said that twilight held a beautiful spark that only eyes could see

I understand that for now that is what’s left of you and me

One day I’ll find the strength the reunite our past once more
