This wrote itself a while ago. I'm merely an instrument of my mind.
For now and every day hence
That the sun may shine for you
At your sorrows' expense.
I pray you may be touched
By a Spirit far beyond mine
That you may see as I see
Obscure workings divine.
I pray you lose the process of thought
As well as those of fear and rage
And that you may gain the strength
To defy the passing of age.
I pray you create the rhythms of verse
To set free the sprite in your mind
And that more may commune as we do
Two faraway souls of a different kind.
