EDITOR  THIS SITE NEEDS  A CLEARING OF THIS MATTER.




I Want An Answer To This By M.A.Meddings

It has been suggested by inuendo in recent texts and by personal messages to me. That because i get selected, as they see unduly too often, in the interesting texts  section that i have undue influence in that selection process.

This is a viscious slur on my character. I do not have any influence whatsoever and i want the editorship of this site to refute this suggestion.

I have never attempted to influence anyone. If people believe I have, they should come out openly and say so. It is a pack of viscious lies.

I had sent a pm to the editor to to ask him to clear the matter up but it seems that is not good enough for my accusers

I therefore   openly ask the editorship to tell us how the selection process works.

My name along with a good lady has been slandered in this matter and i will not lie down and take this.

And neither will I be driven from a site that I love by this attack on me.

I say anyone who accusses me of this influence are liars, and challenge them to produce their evidence

.

To the addressing matter,

This is and should be a free, spoken minded website and with this I want to defend you in saying that we are all adults. What do you think poetry and writing are for? It is a point of view, do you others do the same? To target a selected few is not only foolish, it childish. Grow up and welcome to the human race, we will be happy, we will be sad, we will content and we will be jealous. But it is our maturity and wit that makes this website respecatble and grow with so many writers that I sincerely appreciate and honored to write amongst. So let us say our apologies, shake hands like men and women and continue to make this website a refuge for all points of view and harmony.

These targeted people are not the enemy, our jealousy is.

Heya Mike,

I agree an answer on how the function is working would clarify things for a lot of people. As for your "accusers", I would like to say that the issue being raised isn't anything to do with individuals, but the function's seemingly out of whack rendering of selections of a particular group of individuals , which I prefer to think is no one's doing.

I noticed since that function was put in place on Poetbay that the older members' posts are usually the ones that seem to end up there automatically (which includes me, as well, and I have nothing to do with it either - as you know, I'm usually posting in diary section, and my posts more often than not still end up being on that list whether the text posted is or not read or commented on.) So the whole system is out of whack in my opinion.

Administrators, please fix this or at least explain how the system of interesting texts etc. work ! It's been the longest ongoing issue of poetbay which has created many people to feel left out or not part of the community, and because no one knows exactly how it works, it's also created lots of ill-feelings, insecurities, and feelings of resentment among many (which I think is a big part of the reasons why many have left).

I would personally opt to remove or amend that bit if I were the administrator of this site 'cause it serves no meaningful purpose with the way it's set up at the moment. I know for my part, I don't particularly like finding one of my texts up there!

No one wishes to push you out of the site you love. The members openly asking are only pushing to have the issue of interesting texts selections explained more clearly or reconfigured or abolished, whichever. It is not a witch hunt in the least.

yes but I challenge you to post all the recent pm correspondence between us and let members jusge the inuendos you put in those pms and oh by the way i give permission for you to post my answers i am not bothered about copywrite infringement

Oh, people can be such stuck up idiots.... What a shameful attack on you and others ... It will be sorted I know ... but it is not nice to be treated in such a way by others ....
