Little Firefly

Little firefly, where did you go?
Where are you hiding, where is your glow?
Little firefly, its dark out this night,
What shall I use for my beam of light?

I'm lost in these shadows
So afraid of these meadows
When I cant see my way
Without the light of your day.

Little firefly, little firefly,
Where do I go to cry?
Little firefly, little firefly,
Am I waiting to die?

I've lost my will to live,
Ive nothing more to give,
Little firefly, little firefly
Can you help me to fly?

Lift my wings, hold my soul
For these breezes are much too cold
To keep me warm, and make me wise
As I drift far away, into the winters demise.

My pet fireflies will always be a memory that I cherish.

I remember walking in the fresh dark of early evenings in first grade a dewey blanket covering the ground and the fireflies lighting up my way.

Beatiful!
