Walking through rainbows

I think and then forget
All the words we ever spoke
Meaningless sounds that
Meant so much back then.

I see and then go blind
When loving you was all
Now I can't recall your face
Or the colour of your hair

I wake then fall asleep
With the lingering taste from
When our breath would mingle
Just a jingle of a memory

I forget and then I think
About how you caught my hand
Held it enclosed in yours
Leading me to follow

I'm blind and then I see
Each dream we ever had
Walking through rainbows
On rain slickened streets

I sleep and then I wake
Take out all your gifts
Place them in a circle
As you once encircled me

I am lost and I am found
In a mind that can't keep still
As leaning I learn again
My lips to yours once more.

Wow, very nicely done--so much emotional accuracy; calls to mind how similar the female and male psyches are in important respects...
