I NEED TO FIND MY VERY OWN FACE

I need to get out of this place.
I need to find my very own face.
I lost it through negligence, I admit.
But the circumstances were awful, you have to admit.

People screaming everywhere, a fallen choir.
We take it out on each other, the broken desire.
Earn more money, buy more things,
don't forget Icarus, that burned his wings.

Sirens, traffic and pollution -
no, I dont think we've found the sollution.

Repress and hide, don't show how you feel.
Then it all might suddenly seem real.
And where would that leave us,
in the middle of a giant, deadly fuss.

And in the midst of all this I stand alone.
I bang my head against a wall of stone.
But I don't bleed cause I have lost my face.
It's gone and I don't have a single trace.

I need to get out of this place.
I need to find my very own face.
I lost it through negligence, I admit.
But the circumstances were awful, you have to admit.
