UP FROM THE CEILING AND DOWN IN THE DRAIN

What would you do?

I cannot fall in love with the great hype,
with the balloons floating,
and all the insecurity.

The linearity falls through dark sheets,
and the eyes beyond them follows.

What can you do?

I drag myself up from the ceiling
and find myself down in the drain.

And then I sealed it all with a kiss.

Kathy Lockhart
another very intense and soulful poem with sorrowful despair.
