IF THIS IS THE DAY THAT I DIE


If this is the day that I die
will you tell the world that I tried,
to forgive the bundle of lies,
to get rid of the questions, the whys.

If this is the day that I die
I will finally get rid of the sighs.
It sure as hell would be nice
to get rid of the earthbound ties.

If this is the day that I end
I hope you'll be able to send
all the beauty I'll always defend.
It's the only thing that makes amends.

If this is the day that I end
tell the world I tried to attend.
If this is the day that I die
please tell the world that I tried.

If this is the day that you die
this will be the day that a part of all our souls die with you.
We saw a day in 2008 when we lost a dear friend in Michael Meddings and it broke our hearts my friend!
We all miss him truly as we would miss you.
You may find peace as you think
But there will no peace for anyone you touched in life
And I suspect life has a way of making us pay again.
there is far more to bowing out than meets the tortured eye.

Let this be the day that the darkness dies.
