We'll get some Chinese take-out and we'll climb to the top of the water tower and we'll eat chicken lo mein and steamed vegetable dumplings and drink our Vanilla Coke straight from a 2 liter bottle.
And we'll use forks instead of chopsticks. That'll show 'em.
And you'll have told your parents you're going to a friend's and I'll tell mine I'm going to a friend's and instead we'll sleep in the back of my car like two hippies in love.
And in the morning we'll go to Waffle House because you've never been, and we'll eat some delicious waffles covered in syrup.
And you'll reach across the table and hold my hand and tell me this was the time of your life. And your hand will be covered in maple syrup and mine in blueberry, and instead of ruining the moment it'll make it that much more real.
Then we'll get back in my car but we won't be ready to go home.
So we'll drive to the most beautiful place we can think of, and we'll leave the car battery running so Iron & Wine can play and we'll touch each other like old lovers in the backseat.
But eventually we'll have to leave and I'll take you home and you'll kiss me once more, full on the lips. And you'll say "I'll call you."
