After reading Melanie Sue's Trois-par-Huit, I now realize my two prior attempts do not qualify, as they are not correctly written. So here is my
third attempt! This still doesn't have a good rhythm. Any suggestions?

Until Light Trois-par-Huit Challenge (Third try. help)

Daffodils
Encourage Whippoorwills
To call the evening life to arise

The sun sets low making clouds shimmer in the skies
As night takes over the last of the daylight dies

Lightening bugs, moths, bats and owls take flight
to feed and play all night
Until light
