Estranged War

Runnin' down the freeway my thoughts are sinkin' away..
The wind comes blowin' all the way throwin' me astray
Feelin's are so estranged at times
..Hatred is tearin' us apart for times are indeed crimes

The streets are filled with sadness
..Realize that the people we hurt are countless
So light another fire and try to evolve anew
But before movin' throw the hatred full of scorn

So I sit here with my bleedin' mind
..Lookin' at soldiers killin' folks as if they are blind
Sad is the thought is that they don't realize
..The orphan children and the echoes of their cries

Things will remain the same but feelin's always change
..Hope is all I have for those who think strange
Down the lines of the map are tears of sadness
..Let's all join together and stop being worthless

Well expressed. I think sometimes that's the problem with war: people only think in abstract terms (some cause or some ideal). They forget that regular people lose their lives, children are orphaned, and couples are separated. And both sides think they're the one in the right. There's got to be a better way to settle disagreements.
