The Wolf Song

Give me a safe home
a shelter to run to
when the snowstorm
is approaching from
the depths of my soul
when my heart is aching
inside the eye of the hurricane

Oh please then, open your arms
Let me rest inside your warm embrace
and I will strain my ear to listen to your
heartbeat’s soft melody, become one
with  your heart, become one with
the rhythm of your breath . . .

when the snowstorm
is approaching from
the depths of my soul
when my heart is aching
inside the eye of the hurricane
Give me a safe home
a shelter to run to
Take me in your arms
and I will stay there
for a while

Lonely wolves find the highest cliff to howl from, about their heart’s desire and return back to the forest . . . Don’t search for me I will find you when you are ready to see me for what I am . . .

I really like this poem... but I think I like this comment even better:

"Don't search for me I will find you when you are ready to see me for what I am..."

The destiny of the lone wolf ... well captured.

Makes me reflect on how far our lives consist in oscillation between dependence and independence...
